Political success for former pupils!

 

West Suffolk MP, Matthew Hancock (OKS 1996), was appointed Cabinet Officer Minister and Paymaster General on 11th May 2015. He will now have responsibility for Civil Service reform and efficiency in government departments. He replaced Francis Maude, who held the position since 2010.

Dr James Davies (OKS 1998) secured the Vale of Clwyd seat after a dramatic recount. Dr Davies said: “This is an amazing area…with amazing people and has been a privilege over the last two years to campaign here and meet so many people.”
