Junior School was awash with red, and superheroes took over Willow Lodge for this year’s Comic Relief Day.
There were lots of fun activities in Junior School with the ever-popular Splat the Teacher drawing large crowds at lunchtime! J1s and J2s took part in a tug-o-war competition and we even saw our two Reception classes having their first go on the rope.
At lunchtime, Mr O’Neil was 32 miles into his 50 mile challenge, which had begun earlier in the day. Some of the children, and even a couple of parents, have been joining him for sections of the run which he expects to finish later in the evening.
He said: “I am doing this for the great cause that is Comic Relief, but also to demonstrate to the children how important it is to set ourselves tough goals and persevere to achieve them.”
