Sowing seeds of kindness for Harvest Festival

Thank you to pupils and parents in Willow Lodge and Junior School for their generous donations for our annual Harvest Festival.

Two representatives from the Share charity joined the children for the special assembly. Share supports people in crisis and homeless people in Cheshire and North Wales, and assists refugees around the world.

Willow Lodge pupils joined Junior School pupils for the assembly in the Consterdine Hall where they learned about the importance of the Harvest Festival.

After the assembly, members of the Junior School charity team assisted the Share team in packing up the donated items and loading them into their van. The donated food, toiletries and bedding were taken directly from school to be distributed to homeless people in Chester and food banks across Cheshire and North Wales.

Mr O’Neil heads up the Junior School charity team and organised the Harvest collection. He said: “Thank you so much to everyone who donated to this extremely worthwhile cause. I am incredibly proud of the generosity shown by our pupils and parents.”
