On Thursday, 3 October, we hosted our inaugural alumni event in Manchester.
We were delighted to welcome more than 20 Old King’s Scholars to the splendid King Street Town House on Brook Street, resulting in a sold-out first event in the city.
Last year, we decided to expand our immensely popular London event and replicate it across the North West. In 2023, we visited Newcastle, and this year it was Manchester’s turn.
The event reached full capacity, filling the private function space we had reserved.
Guests were greeted with a glass of fizz on arrival before enjoying a delicious three-course meal. The complimentary drinks flowed freely, allowing attendees to engage with old friends and forge new connections—something we value greatly at King’s.
Headmaster George Hartley expressed his gratitude to everyone for attending and highlighted the success of the new King’s alumni country tie sales that evening!
Sandy Lyons (OKS 2007) joined us for the evening and said: “Thank you for organizing such a special event last night. It was wonderful to see familiar faces and new ones, reminiscing about our time at King’s!”
