On Saturday, 8 March, it was a pleasure to welcome back around 30 Old King’s Scholars for their school reunion.
We hosted leavers from 2000, 2001, 2010 and 2011 to reminisce about their time at King’s as they missed out on their 2020 planned reunion due to covid.
Guests were greeted with a drink at the senior school reception before being taken on a tour of the school. This was a highlight for many of our former pupils with many commenting on the scale of development since their last visit, or indeed since their own school days.
The tour concluded back at the Sixth Form Centre where guests enjoyed delicious canapes and free-flowing drinks, whilst old photos, yearbooks and magazines sparked lively conversation before the Headmasters presentation.
Anthony Fletcher (OKS 2000) said;
“Thank you for organising such a tremendous event.
It really was extraordinary how the tour, archive material and reconnecting with peers just brought such a flood of memories (and emotions).”
