Beauty and the Beast

Over three nights the Drama Department treated the audience to a visual extravaganza and unforgettable performance of Disney’s much-loved musical Beauty and the Beast. Each night the cast received a standing ovation, a credit to the amount of hard work they had put in to the production. With a cast of over 50 students from Shells to Fourths, it was a joy to watch.

The musical told the story of Belle (Hannah Evans, 3BRD), a young woman in a provincial French town, and the Beast (Sameer Dhanjee, 4DUT), who is really a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an evil enchantress.

Special thanks must also go to Mrs Williams, Director, for organising the production and all of the staff and sixth formers who helped to ensure that the audience were swept away in a tale as old as time.
