Congratulations to Lucy Caldwell (4FOX) who recently competed for Great Britain in Dressage.
After competing, and representing Wales, for a number of years, Lucy was given the opportunity earlier this season to step up to High Profile and Premier League shows.
She set herself the target of achieving a qualifying score to compete for GB and through a combination of hard work and, in Lucy’s words, her talented horse, Harmony, she was selected to represent Great Britain at Keysoe CDI 3* in October and took first place in her category.
Lucy said: “I set myself the goal of competing at this show so I was delighted when I achieved it. To be selected to represent GB was amazing but to get a win at Keysoe CDI 3* was incredible, especially as I was competing against so many other talented riders.”
Lucy is a very gracious winner and she recognised the role that others have played in her success.
She said: “None of this would have been possible without the best team around me, especially my trainer Sonia Baines and my Mum, both of whom have supported me from the beginning.”
Good luck to Lucy in her next competition!
