Football: U14s are Chester and District Champions

Congratulations to our U14 football team who beat a strong side from Blacon High School to take the 2023 Chester and District title. 

The thrilling match saw Blacon leading 1-0 at half-time, but King’s fought their way back into the game with second-half goals by Cialin O’Mahony (3WAL) and Maaz Afridi (3LES).

Director of Football, Andrew Davies, praised the team for their resilience and effort. 

He said: “The team was trailing at half-time but came out stronger to win 2-1 against a very good Blacon side. They played well as a team and were deserved winners. 

“King’s proudly hosts the finals of the Chester & District School competition for all age groups every year. The games are always played in good spirits and it’s such a great way to round off the season.  We’re already looking forward to next year!”
