GALLERY: Grandparents Day

On Friday, 30 September, we celebrated Grandparents Day in Willow Lodge with a visit from some very important guests.

The children in our Reception classes were extremely excited to invite their grandparents to visit them at their new school.

Highlights of the day included tasty treats made by the children and a chance for the pupils to show off their work in their classrooms. 

The grandparents enjoyed a performance of some special songs that the children had practised especially for the occasion, and everyone went home with very big smiles on their faces. 

One of the visitors commented: “It was lovely to be invited and we have been very excited about coming.”

Another enjoyed the sweet treats baked by the children: “The flapjacks were delicious and I was very impressed at the children’s baking skills.”
