Gallery: J1 present their egg-cellent creations

J1 pupils have been egg-stra busy and egg-stra creative this week after they were challenged by their teachers to decorate eggs and create a scene of their choice.

On the last day of Lent term, the scenes were displayed in the Consterdine Hall for the whole school to see, and Mrs Ainsworth enjoyed presenting some very well-deserved prizes.

She said: “The creativity and imagination that has gone into these egg-cellent scenes is amazing. I am particularly impressed with the ‘cracking’ puns, including the Egg Sheeran concert, Henry the Eggth and Al-eggs-ander Arnold!”

All of the children received a chocolate lolly for taking part in the competition before one winner was announced from each of the J1 classes.

The J1D winner was Mia Elton who used her creation to raise awareness of plastic pollution in the oceans.

The J1F winner was Bronwen Sinclair whose volcano erupted over the dinosaurs in her depiction of the day of egg-stinction.

The J1G winner was Xander Woods for his brilliant recreation of a Kiss concert in egg form.

Miss Fountain is one of the J1 teachers and was very impressed with the creativity on display: “Well done to all the children and a huge thank you to parents for their support at this very busy time of year! We hope that everyone enjoys a very well deserved break over Easter.”
