GALLERY: Reading takes centre stage on World Book Day

On Thursday, 6 March, the whole school celebrated our love for reading on World Book Day 2025. 

In Willow Lodge and Junior School, pupils and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters, or wore their pyjamas and brought a well-loved book to share. 

A full schedule of bookish activities filled the timetable for our infants and juniors, including the traditional costume parades, guest readers and a book treasure hunt. A highlight for our infant children was a trip to the Senior School library for story time with Head Librarian, Miss Brooks. 

Senior School pupils might not have been dressed up but they had no less fun. Activities included decorating biscuits as favourite book characters, a mystery treasure hunt and a “guess who’s coming to dinner” game.
