Hoops for Health with Cheshire Phoenix

We were thrilled to welcome Cheshire Phoenix Basketball Club to Junior School with their Hoops 4 Health roadshow this morning.

Our J3 classes enjoyed a fun basketball skills session, led by one of the players and the club’s community coach. Pupils competed against each other whilst developing their skills and learning more about the game. 

Players and coaches also led healthy eating and anti-smoking sessions with the pupils, encouraging them to make good and healthy choices. 

Following today’s visit, pupils will be invited to compete in an annual tournament against other schools. King’s have been crowned Cheshire Phoenix Champions on many occasions in previous years and J3s will be hoping to follow in their winning footsteps. 

Every J3 child has also received a free ticket to attend a Cheshire Phoenix home fixture and they are looking forward to seeing the players they met today in action on the court.
