An inspiring and interactive maths lecture show

This week, our Lower Sixth mathematicians attended Maths Inspiration at Chester’s Storyhouse Theatre. 

Maths Inspiration is a national programme of interactive maths lecture shows for teenagers. They include the UK’s most inspiring maths speakers live in theatres, presenting mathematics in the context of exciting, real-world applications.

The show included three interactive talks and a lively Q & A session at the end. The shows make links to National Curriculum content, and feature mathematicians, engineers, and statisticians. 

Students enjoyed talks from bestselling maths author, Rob Eastaway, Channel 4 engineer, Hugh Hunt, and musician and mathematician, Ben Sparks. 

It was a fascinating and fun afternoon enjoyed by all!
