Over the last three weekends, a number of King’s students from J4 to Fifths have been representing their swimming clubs at the Cheshire County Championships.
Held in Macclesfield, the swimmers qualified for a total of 82 events and racked up an impressive 42 medals between them.
A huge well done to:
Jake Thistlewood (J4O)
George Pearce (RMSC)
Alice Gooding (RMCI)
Harry Jones (SHDUT)
Freya Querelle (SHLES)
Jessica Goldsmith (SHFOX)
Adam Gloyne-Philips (3DUT)
Amy Kenworthy (5GLA)
The next gala will be the North West Regional Championships and will be held over April and May at the Liverpool Aquatics Centre. The King’s swimmers have already qualified for a total of 74 events so far with a few more weeks left to qualify.
A special mention goes to Amy Kenworthy (not pictured) who has qualified for four events at the British Championships. Taking place at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge in April, this event plays a key role in the selection process for The World Aquatic Championships which are due to be held in Japan in July.
Good luck to all of our swimmers, we look forward to tracking your progress.
