Maths quiz success

Congratulations to a team of Sixth Form mathematicians for their second place victory in the recent Liverpool Mathematical Society Pop Maths Quiz.

Hosted at Liverpool John Moores University, the Sixth Form Pop Maths Quiz is designed to be fun but challenging and annually attracts teams of young mathematicians from local schools and from further afield.

Four pupils from Upper and Lower Sixth travelled to Liverpool to take part in this year’s competition, joining a total of 150 pupils from 17 schools, with teams from as far away as Jersey and India joining online to take on the challenge. 

The King’s pupils worked well as a team to solve questions on a wide range of topics and saw their determination and teamwork pay off to take joint second place. Well done to all four members of the team:
