Performance Perfection at Chester Music Festival

On Saturday, May 7, after a two year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we were delighted to welcome the Chester Music Festival back to King’s.

Celebrating wins for Senior School soloists and ensembles in a number of categories, Director of Music, Mrs Whitfield was incredibly proud of the students’ performances.

She said: “Since Covid restrictions ended, music has really flourished in school and it is wonderful that the students’ hard work and talent have been recognised by the Chester Music Festival judges in this way.”

Among the winners were our recently reformed 6s and 7s Choir, which is made up of students from the final year of Juniors and the first year of Seniors.

Music teacher Miss Banerjee conducts this choir: “They are such a fun group to work with. I am so proud of how well they have worked together, and how they have improved in such a short time. They full deserved to win this trophy!”
