Peter joins prestigious choir

Following a successful audition for the prestigious London-based Rodolfus Choir last year, Peter Evans (L6LES) enjoyed his first performances with them over the Christmas and New Year period.

Peter, who is also Choral Scholar at Chester Cathedral, donned his Rodolfus robes for the first time on December 30 for three performances in London, including Evensong in Southwark Cathedral and concerts in Kensington and Pimlico.

Peter plays a very active part in the musical life of King’s, singing in two of the school choirs and playing violin in the Orchestra and String Ensemble. He is hoping to study Music at university and is excited about the opportunities that singing with the Rodolfus Choir will give him.

He said: “The standard in the Rodolfus Choir is really high and singing with them for the first time at the end of last year was an amazing experience. I am looking forward to our next performance at Easter.”

Director of Music at King’s, Mrs Debbie Whitfield, said: “We are very proud of Peter. The Rodolfus Choir is well known for offering professional, high quality choral opportunities and I know that Peter will seize every one of them!”
