Run, run reindeer!

The Junior School’s annual charity Reindeer Run was another galloping success on the last full day of term.

Running once again in aid of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, all pupils from J1 to J4 approached the start line full of enthusiasm and ready to go.

Their Christmas headbands were gifted by the hospice in recognition of the incredible amount of money raised by the event last year.

The run was organised by Mr O’Neil, who was appropriately dressed as Father Christmas as he completed the laps with the children.

He said: “Our Reindeer Run has become a popular annual event that gives the children an opportunity to have fun, be active and enjoy themselves whilst raising money for a very important local charity who have to raise more than £3 million per year to keep going.

“In 2022, we raised in excess of £2,500 and we are aiming to beat that this year!”

Despite muddy underfoot conditions, the children raced around with huge smiles on their faces, completing as many laps as they could in 15 minutes.
