Schola Cantorum collaborate on Easter performance

On Sunday, 26 March, Schola Cantorum joined together with Vox Vocavit and the Parish Choir of St Mary’s to sing Stainer’s Crucifixion.

The Passiontide observance took place at St Mary’s Without the Walls in Handbridge with a full congregation in attendance.

The two solos were performed by King’s students, both pictured below. Thank you to Matthew Baghomian (L6GLA), who sang the Tenor solo, and Peter Evans (U6LES) who sang the Bass solo.

Director of Music, Debbie Whitfield, was very proud of the choir.

She said: “Performing in the community is always very special and we are grateful to St Mary’s for the opportunity to sing alongside the other choirs.

“This was a wonderful experience for Schola Cantorum and we look forward to returning to St Mary’s soon.”
