Slam dunk success for Removes basketballers

Congratulations to this talented group of basketball players who ended their U12s season with Cheshire Phoenix on a high. 

In April, Imogen Carway, Henry Wiseman, Benas Brazaitis and Mason Hext (all RMMD) celebrated becoming North West Regional League Conference Playoff Champions, and they were excited to show off their trophy in school earlier this week. 

Last month, following four weeks of trials, the three boys received more good news when they learned that they had been selected for Cheshire Phoenix’s U14 national squad. 

They said: “We are very proud to have been chosen as there were limited places and we had to attend a lot of trial. We can’t wait to play next season!”

Although Imogen won’t be able to play with them as mixed teams are no longer permitted at U14 level, she will continue to train with the squad and also play for a different team. 

We are looking forward to seeing what all four of them continue to achieve next season.
