Last week at London’s Olympic Park the Senior 1st team squad of 15 players won the 2017 England Hockey National Plate competition, emerging victors from over 80 top hockey schools and eclipsing last season’s bronze medal in the same event. In the semi-final King’s won 1-0 against the mighty Millfield School, going on to the Final against Merchant Taylors from London. After leading 3-1, we were pegged back to 3-3 but held our nerve in the penalty shoot-out to take the title! Congratulations to all involved, the culmination of many years of playing together, with commitment, determination and spirit!
