The U14 girl’s hockey team played some brilliant indoor hockey during the County Indoor Hockey Tournament this week.
They had a tough group with Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, and Falibroome. The first game was against Wilmslow who had a strong side and King’s put on a really strong performance. They narrowly lost 1-0. This put the pressure on for the next two games, however, it didn’t phase King’s. They beat Alderley Edge 1-0, with a great goal from Eleanor Lewis (3DUT).
To get through to the finals, the skilled team had to beat Falibroome. This highly pressured game saw King’s scoring first with another great goal from Samya Saha (3WAL). Unfortunately, Wilmslow sneaked in another goal and the end result was a 1-1 draw which resulted in just missing out on the final.
The girls were fantastic and were well motivated by captain Emma Pinnington (3DUT).
