It was a pleasure to welcome Ms Siobhan Blake to our most recent Careers Breakfast.
Ms Blake works for the Crown Prosecution Service and is currently the Chief Crown Prosecutor of the West Midlands.
As well as sharing her own career path with students, Ms Blake also explained the role of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to protect the public, support victims and witnesses, and to deliver justice.
Head of Careers, Dr Hensman, thanked Ms Blake for a fascinating overview of criminal law and the CPS.
He said: “We have a number of aspiring lawyers amongst our students and I know that they will have found today’s talk invaluable in widening their understanding of the criminal justice system in this country.
There are many different pathways within Law and, through the Careers Breakfasts, we aim to introduce students to as many of these as possible.”
